Workshops are back!

Over the coming year I’ll be hosting lots of exciting workshops including freestyle weaving, creative crochet, upholstery and lots more… keep an eye out for more dates coming soon:

Freestyle Weaving Workshop – 11am – 4pm

Immerse yourself in the therapeutic and joyful art of freestyle weaving and learn how to create your own unique wall-hanging to take home.
You will be working on an easy to use custom built frame using my inspirational palette of hand dyed yarns and fleece wool, learning how to create exciting texture and form. Beginners welcome!
£65 including all equipment and materials, £20 non refundable deposit payable on booking either via Paypal to phiaeco@gmail.com or by card or cash at Stiwdio 9.

Upholstery for Beginners: Sunday 3rd July 11-4

Would you like to learn the useful art of upholstery?

This informative workshop with artist/designer Sophia Ingham (Phia) is specially for beginners and will take you through the entire upholstery process from furniture stripping, through re-strapping/webbing & springing, re-upholstery and finishing techniques.

You will need to bring along a simple project and upholstery fabric (if you’re after something specific), otherwise all basic materials and equipment are provided plus some available to buy.

£65 including all upholstery materials, equipment and refreshments, £25 non refundable deposit required on booking payable via Paypal or at Stiwdio 9.

Understanding your Sewing Machine – Sunday 24th July 1-4

Are you baffled by your sewing machine? Is it sitting on a shelf gathering dust?

Learn how to get to grips with your machine and complete a simple project such as a cushion cover or bag, under the expert guidance of designer Sophia Ingham (www.phiaeco.com).

You will learn how to set up your machine and basic maintenance to keep it running smoothly, as well as exploring it’s different applications through creating a sampler in the form of a cushion cover, bag, apron or other simple project.

£40 including materials, threads and refreshments, £10 deposit required on booking.
